We Are a Unique American / Brazilian Family Company

Arco-Iris Granite is a family company. We are a mixed family of Brazilians and Americans. My boss, Marina (from Rio) and I were married in 1996 and she and our daughter, Martina, speak fluent Portuguese and English. Also in our family are twin teenage boys, three adult daughters, two son-in-law's and two grandsons's, (and one on the way).

Through, Marina’s connection to Brazil, we began to import and sell containers of granite mined from the mountains of Brazil. We sell directly from the quarries to fabricators all over the USA. Fabricators that buy granite directly from Brazil, pay very low prices for the beautiful slabs, and eliminate the middleman mark up. In the last year we began to sell the beautiful granite colors directly from quarries in India.

Through this endeavor we have access to three different granite factories close to our area. This enables us to manufactor and install your kitchen within two-three weeks from templating. If you will allow us to brag a little, we have some of the best granite installers in the midwest. They have been installing granite countertops since 1985. Edgewood Ky Company Imports Directly From Brazil

Charles Schneider of Edgewood founded his Granite importing business in 1999 and his business has grown every year.

A Cincinnati native and graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Schneider uses his connections in Brazil to provide customers with a wide selection of granite at the lowest possible prices.

Schneider's' wife, Marina, is a native of Brazil who speaks fluent Portuguese.

"My wife is very important to the business because she can handle business deals and ordering in Brazil while I handle the U.S. end of the business," said schneider. "She also has Brazilian contacts in the granite business. Because I have no overhead and can get granite from Brazil at low price, no one can touch my prices."

Schneider imports 75% of his granite from Brazil with the remaining granite purchased from India, China, Finland, other European countries, and Georgia and North Dakota.

"Our Granite is the absolute best," said schneider. Schneider provides his customers with 140 different granite colors in eight price categories. His web site, www.Arco-Iris Granite.com allows the customer to click each price category and see the colors and quality offered in that price range.

"We represent ten quarries in Brazil with 75 colors of granite, many of which are very beautiful and unique to the industry," said schneider. "Then ten quarries are successful, quick, and market the granite as one team. Fortunately, I'm their only American contact. The granite is mined from a mountain in giant slabs and sent to a central cutting house in Brazil. We pack the granite in 20 foot containers in Brazil and send the containers directly to fabricators in the United States. We've created excellent relationships with U.S. fabricators." Arco-Iris Granite is the consumer side of the business where Schneider sells and installs quality granite for kitchen and bathroom countertops.

"I have three installation crews in this area who come to your home, do field measurements, and take templates to granite fabricators," he said. "Our people do the installation work in your home. We can do most jobs in just one to three weeks notice."
